How to make your unicorn

Step 1

Start by printing the unicorn template.

two-page unicorn craft template

This is a two-page printable and you can find it over in our Etsy store. If you can print the template onto thin card stock rather than paper, this works best (especially if your child is going to paint their unicorn).

Step 2

Next, paint the unicorn’s mane, horn, ear and nose.

We left our unicorn’s head white, but of course your child can paint this another colour should they wish.

If you don’t want to use paint, pencil crayons, crayons or markers would work well too.

We used acrylic paint, which covers really well and dries super fast.

Step 3

Cut out all the different parts of the unicorn. Younger children may need some assistance here.

Step 4

Next, it’s time to assemble.

First, put glue on the large glue tab on the unicorn’s head.

Position the unicorn’s mane and then press down firmly.

Step 5

Next, put glue on the glue tab on the mane and attach the unicorn’s ear.

Step 6

Lastly, put glue on the glue tab on the horn.

Attach the horn to the unicorn by sticking it to the back of the unicorn.
